DESIGN FEATURES
The Expert was intended from the outset as a platform for several future application developments. The solid, yet very light, glass-reinforced plastic body safely encases the internal moving parts. Nitrogen filling prevents lenses from fogging. Designed as a waterproof, extra durable system the binocular Expert complies with IP67 standards of water & dust resistance (IEC 60529). Comfortable in use, and to carry, the binocular Expert is surprisingly light and compact for the performance level it provides.
EXPERT VM / VMR. VIEWING MODES
Observation in Reflection Reduction Mode neutralizes or minimizes the dazzling effect of light bouncing back from non-metallic, highly reflective surfaces (water, snow, ice or glass) as well as may assist in observing through some of them (car windows). 
Contrast Mode featuring the yellow light tint helps in twilight, haze or fog for enhancing the image with brighter and contrasting spectrum.
Viewing modes
The VM/ VMR version of the line also boasts switchable internal filters to enhance viewing experience. Really helpful in foggy conditions, or bright light, they work by polarizing the incoming light or cutting out some of the spectrum (see Details). Changing the viewing modes is as simple as moving a switch on the bottom of the binocular.
Flat lenses
The first line of protection against extreme outside conditions – extra durable flat front lenses prevent the inner optics from scratches, dust and moisture.
Eyepieces
The only moving part of the body - eyepieces are setting interpupillary distance, while oblique eyecups maximize comfort and cut out peripheral light.
Rubber armouring
As compared to basic models, the Expert VMR 8x40 has partially rubberized body.
Lens caps
Eclipse-M lens caps remain attached at all times and can protect the front optics from distortion due to precipitation.
