illuminating unit OTP is intended for viewing transparent objects in transmitted light realizing "dark field" method that allows determining latent defect such as bubbles, scratches, micro cracks, non-uniform inclusions that are not discernable at natural illumination. The standard illuminant of the MBS-10 microscope equipped with halogen lamp 12V/20W is used as the light source. The "dark field" effect can be observed when magnification of the microscope corresponds to the positions 2; 4; 7 of the magnification-setting hand-knob.
